The LISTEN trial - long Covid care research
The LISTEN trial is a randomised trial that aims to compare the LISTEN intervention, a personalised self-management support approach for people with long Covid to the usual long Covid care available in the NHS. We are particularly interested in the impact on the way people cope with their daily lives.

Flu Vaccination
We now have over 65 Seasonal Influenza vaccinations at the surgery. Please contact the GP surgery to arrange this appointment as soon as possible.
Surgery Announcement
Dr Salako and Partners practice team are delighted to announce that Langdon Hills Medical Centre/Southview Park Surgery are research active practices working with the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network (NIHR-CRN).
We work in close collaboration with a team of GPs, research nurses and facilitators covering Luton, Essex and Herts Valley. If a patient is eligible to join a research study running in our practice, a GP or other healthcare professional will provide written information. Taking part in a research study is voluntary and can be beneficial to patients who participate in them.

The Sound Doctor is a new way of learning about long term conditions that puts YOU in control.
There are more that 200 short films with practical advice and tips from leading health professionals.

Important Information - HUB
Langdon Hills Medical Centre has now joined forces with a number of other Practices to form a Primary Care Hub Clinic where you can book an appointment that suits you outside your Surgery hours as follows:
18.30 - 20.00 Weekdays
08.00 - 18.00 Saturdays
09.00 - 14.00 Sundays and Public Bank Holidays
Clinics will be held at three of the operating Hubs in Basildon, Billericay and Wickford during the week. At weekends the Hubs will be held at Basildon and alternative between Billericay and Wickford
Call either Surgery on their usual number Langdon Hills patients call 01268 418 200 and Southview Park patients call 01268 553292 and you will re-directed through to the Hub. Should all appointments be taken you will then be re-directed to NHS 111.
